De Google Pixel 8 Pro blinkt uit met zijn camera's, vooral door de veelzijdige zoom en natuurgetrouwe kleuren. De software is zeer soepel en krijgt tot 2030 updates, wat uniek is in deze prijsklasse. Het scherm is groot, helder en prettig in gebruik. De batterij gaat makkelijk een dag mee, mede dankzij de efficiënte Tensor G3-chip. Nadelen zijn de matige prestaties bij zware games, een soms trage vingerafdrukscanner en een selfiecamera die in het donker minder goed presteert. Het glanzende frame ziet er mooi uit, maar is gevoelig voor krassen en vingerafdrukken. Over het algemeen is dit een uitstekende keuze voor wie een premium Android-ervaring zoekt, maar gamers en selfie-liefhebbers moeten rekening houden met deze punten.

Had the phone for just under two years. The hardware has started to fail such that the phone won't log into the wifi at all. After working with Google Pixel customer service it was determined that the phone is unable to properly execute the drivers and power usage between the mobile network receiver and the wifi receiver. The device regulates power between the two using Adaptive Control. I had to halt Adaptive Control to use the Wifi. Else it would NEVER find or connect to any Wifi network. Also, relative to the camera. It isn't as good as many believe. I am a professional photographer and will at times use my phone when unable to use my Sony Mirrorless Camera. It works well with videos but the actual picture quality is terrible! When I travel I have my wife bring her Samsung and Apple phones, both of which have FAR better picture quality. If I had to do this again I would NOT get a Pixel. I had a Samsung prior and am disappointed I changed.

Had the phone less than a month and the screen went out. Had the screen repaired and 11 months later the same thing happen but now Google won't replace or fix the phone because it is out of warranty. Very unsatisfied with this product and how repairs are handled.

The Pixel 8 Pro could be the most accomplished Android phone of a recent generation. But in everyday use there are some minor disconnects – from battery life to refresh rates owed to the new Tensor processor – that hold back on some of the magic (not Magic Eraser). Still, if you're seeking standout design, stellar future-proofing and a stonking set of cameras then Google has a scintillating Android flagship – one that, in theory, will only improve as it benefits from ever-expanding artificial intelligence (AI) features.
