De Russell Hobbs Desire 24670-56 handmixer is populair door zijn compacte formaat, lichte gewicht en krachtige 350W motor. Met vijf snelheden en een turbofunctie is hij geschikt voor diverse baktoepassingen, van luchtige slagroom tot stevig deeg. De accessoires zijn stevig en eenvoudig te plaatsen, wat het gebruiksgemak verhoogt. Wel is het apparaat op de hoogste stand vrij luid en kan het trillen. De matte afwerking is mooi maar gevoelig voor vlekken, en de eject-knop werkt anders dan bij veel andere mixers, wat soms verwarring geeft. Over het algemeen biedt deze handmixer veel waar voor zijn geld, maar houd rekening met de genoemde nadelen.

I wanted to get a hand mixer with good dough hooks and 'sensible' speeds and did a fair amount of research. Unfortunately I wasn't successful! Even the lowest speed on this RH handmixer blows up a storm of flour, and then things inevitably get worse at higher speeds. So although the dough hooks may be useful for wet dough, making anything with dry flour using the beaters is frustrating. I wouldn't buy this model again.
