Shure Beta 91A Kickdrum Condensatormicrofoon

I noticed all of the bigger stage/venues had this mic. You can get so much range from this half cardiod. Only issue I had, was that my mixer didn't have a way for me to take enough mids out and was causing it to clip. Better mic, required a better mixer.

Thankfully the store had this in stock. I was able to purchase the last one in the store and it worked great!

I bought this to use with my Cajon. Works great. My Cajon rings a bit but a towel thrown inside took care of it. Thanks Raul for knowing what I needed.

Great mic, I've been looking for a good beater side kick mic for a while. I've tried several options but they were always at least a little intrusive or needed to be heavily gated. The sound of the beta 91a is immediately satisfying; the switch on the underside cuts right where I'd like. It's hard, slapping, and thudding without sounding round, woolly, or boomy. The mic is super durable and heavy. I still had to gaff it down to stop it from moving but on lighter drummer it probably would be fine. Again I really love this mic, it'll likely be my first go-to kick mic moving forward.
