De Allen & Heath ZED-12FX staat bekend om zijn zeer goede geluidskwaliteit en stille DuoPre-preamps, wat hem populair maakt bij kleine bands en live geluid. De ingebouwde 16 effecten worden vaak als goed bruikbaar omschreven, vooral voor zang en eenvoudige live toepassingen. Veel gebruikers prijzen de stevige bouw; de mixer voelt solide aan en de faders en knoppen geven vertrouwen bij intensief gebruik. Dankzij de USB-interface en de vele in- en uitgangen is hij flexibel inzetbaar voor zowel live als eenvoudige opnames. Wel is het geen lichte mixer, waardoor hij minder ideaal is als je echt compact wilt reizen. Daarnaast wordt soms genoemd dat niet alle aux-uitgangen een eigen masterregelaar hebben, wat voor sommige setups een beperking kan zijn. Er zijn incidenteel meldingen van kleine kwaliteitsdetails, zoals losse schroeven of een haperend powerlampje, maar dit lijkt niet structureel. Voor de meeste kopers biedt de ZED-12FX een sterke combinatie van geluid, functies en degelijkheid in deze prijsklasse.

First indications after using it on 2 weekends are very good. Didn't quite expect the massive improvement in clarity as what it achieved. Still playing about with themany features though so time will tell

I have had little opportunity to try all aspects but initial results are very good. All controls have a great feel to them, effects are good and plenty of routing options. The only downside is the size, it is large in my home studio but worth making space for

This Allen & Heath mixer is an outstanding mixer and probably the best in it's price range. It has just the right amount of channels and aux monitors for home studio or small gig us. Yet it's still fairly portable. Feels high quality as well.

Use for live DUO 2 guitars and vocals with sequencer....effects on vocals sound good. Feel robust and mic preamp sound realy good. Sound is WAY better than behringer that I used before. I run it with yorkville ap3000 amp in 2 elite top and sub. played some music using laptop USB and it sound really good....Only had it for a few feeks but feel robust. Knobs feels great and eq is very musical. I which there would be a stereo XRL sub out and main eq.

I use this produc to mix live sound to my stadium venue. Very durable, clean sound, and has great strength.
