De Yamaha NS-555 is een vloerstaande 3-weg luidspreker met een luxe pianozwarte afwerking en een solide bouwkwaliteit. Het geluid is helder en gedetailleerd, met een krachtige bas dankzij de dubbele woofers. De speaker ondersteunt bi-wiring en bi-amping, wat flexibiliteit biedt voor audiofielen. Wel is het geluidsbeeld relatief smal en is de speaker groot en zwaar, waardoor hij minder geschikt is voor kleine ruimtes. Door de 6 ohm impedantie kan een krachtige versterker nodig zijn. I like the finish. Sound is very good. You can spend five times more money and get better sound but for this price I am very happy with them.

Even selling now for twice the original cost of just over $300 for the pair...YES...just over $300 a pair, the NS-555's are a very good sounding speaker system that also sports a nicely finished housing simulating piano black lacquer! But be aware that over the a period of about 4 years of use this covering will start to pucker at the top and bottom of the speaker. But that has been the only real problem I've had with them, as they still deliver very good high end sound needing no sub-woofer regardless of what anyone else says!

I love these speakers.They are just what one would want if they prefer the actual live play back sound of a good live rock band. If you like easy listen jazz, again these are the speakers for you. If you like bass in these types music, they have it and plenty more. If you like loud noisy obnoxious booming bass, do not buy these speakers. These speakers are made for music not loud boom sound. They are indeed high end speakers with out the high end price. Music lovers will like these speakers. It's why out side the USA the rest of the world buys these speakers in numbers. Yamaha as always did it right.

That is true, should be clearly written that is ONE speaker for sale, because speakers buying us a set Left and Right.
