De Sonos Outdoor Sonance speakers leveren een helder, krachtig geluid en zijn speciaal ontworpen voor buitengebruik. Ze zijn volledig weerbestendig (IP66) en eenvoudig te integreren met de Sonos Amp. De stevige bouw en montagebeugels maken installatie makkelijk. Nadelen zijn de hoge prijs, het ontbreken van draadloze functionaliteit en het relatief grote formaat. Voor wie topgeluid en duurzaamheid zoekt, is dit een uitstekende keuze, maar het is een investering.

I narrowed my choices down to these and the Q Acoustics QI65EW speakers. The Q Acoustics are about half the price, but the sound just didn’t have the same depth or clarity. In the end, I kept these — and I’m glad I did. Installation was straightforward: fix the bracket to the wall, clip the speakers in, and connect the cables via the spring terminals. I ran the cables neatly along the drain pipes to keep them hidden. They’re powered by my 2016 Sonos Connect:Amp, and for outdoor use, the sound is impressive — rich, clear, and easily fills the space. I typically have them at volume 40–60 when outside, which is higher than my indoor Sonos setup, but makes sense for an open area. I chose the white finish so they blend in with the surroundings, and I’d recommend using outdoor-rated cable to protect against UV damage and weather.
