These speakers are brilliant, in two senses. They offer spacious sound, clear separation of instrumentation and are a joy to listen to. They can get a bit bright/harsh with high frequencies at louder levels. But I love them and recommend them if you like a bright sound.

I had a sound concept in my head and these speakers totally hit that mark. We live in a condo, so I don't want to blast. They have to sound good at a lowish to moderate gain and these speakers certainly do. I use them to stream both AM & FM radio sites from my phone, as well as Spotify and as the external speakers from my HDTV. I have a Bluetooth Sony amp for those connections. It's an amazing little system and these speakers play a key role in it. I couldn't be happier with them. I have the speakers positioned up on end tables, so the sound comes straight at us on the same plane as the HDTV. It all fits together terrifically and I found that there was no need for me to boost the gain on either the bass or the treble.

I purchased these speakers even after ready about their midrange issues knowing that I would modify them. I needed an inexpensive but efficient pair of speakers to break in our tube amplifiers before booking up my reference speakers. At the price I got them for, about $350 shipped, they are not a bad speaker. Fit and finish is amazing. If you are looking for a more neutral speakers and don’t already have these, spend a little extra and get yourself the RP-600M II as the new version addresses the crossover issue.

Super great quality and look! Arrived in pristine condition. Hooked them up to my Onkyo 7.2 receiver in a bi-amp configuration and the detail of the sound is instantly noticeable. I can't wait to move out of my apartment to really test them out! I would recommend a solid speaker stand as they are a little larger than I expected.
