De KEF Ci160QR is een hoogwaardige inbouw-plafondluidspreker met een zeer breed en gelijkmatig geluidsbeeld dankzij de Uni-Q driver. De installatie is eenvoudig en het ontwerp is discreet. Het geluid is helder en krachtig, ook bij lagere volumes. Het ontbreekt echter aan een ingebouwde achterkast, waardoor de basweergave afhankelijk is van het plafond. Ideaal voor wie een onopvallende, veelzijdige luidspreker zoekt voor muziek of home cinema, maar minder geschikt als je veel bas wilt zonder subwoofer.

Mounted these in a plywood box behind new plaster. Fitting them into the wall was super easy. Cut out the hole with a pad saw, connect leads into the sprung loaded connectors, push speaker into the hole and then turn 3 screws that deploy the clamps and then wind them tight. We’ve paired these with the new Sonos Amp, and it all works beautifully. The sound is sweet and the back box creates the deepness that makes these beauties sing out. The look is great too, discreet and smart. It’s possibly a little too loud for the kitchen LOL

Bought a pair of KEF Ci 160 QR speakers on 21 February 2020 to complete my Atmos 7.1.2 set up. Pleasantly surprised by the quality feel of the speaker construction. Fitting into the ceiling (plaster board) was straight forward and the dog leg fixings work beautifully. Performance wise the sound is amazing and is now much more immersive. I simply cannot fault these speakers. Overall I am very pleased and have no hesitation in recommending these KEF beauties.
