Excellent clarity and warmth with good bass response. Ideal for the medium size room (approx 15 sq mtrs). Good support and advice from Geoff at the Sheffield store.

I have been saving towards the B&W 704s speakers and found them for a good price at richersounds so took the plunge and am very happy with the result. The staff at the Newcastle shop included a personalised deal which perfectly fitted my requirement. They sound fantastic and the piano black finish is stunning. I was concerned that having the port at the rear might be a problem as restricted to placement but there is no obvious issue and sound is clean and clear. (my previous speakers were B&W684s2 front ported) I thought my old speakers were very good and expected a slight improvement thinking I may be paying mostly for the superior finish but the sound quality has vastly improved in every aspect. Very happy with my purchase.

Just had it installed yesterday and so far the sound from the Bowers and Wilkins speakers is an upgrade on my previous AV system but the Arcam AVR11 amp's features are probably a bit more than I need. However the amps musicality makes up for some of the operational idiosynchrasies as it performs well in reproducing both music and film. I'm sure as I delve into the menus I should be able to iron out some of these somewhat irritating operational issues. I have purchased many items from Richer Sounds over the years and and have never had cause for complaint. The staff at York have been excellent and I feel went the extra mile in trying to meet my requirements. Unfortunately this time there has been a bit of a glitch in delivering all the items but this has been solved temporarily and I await delivery of the correct centre speaker shortly.

Just got my pair yesterday. A SIGNIFICANT improvement over my CM6s in every respect. (And the CMs are still excellent speakers despite being discontinued in 2017,) A perfect partner for my Rotel 1570 integrated.
