The compass was good (eventually returned), it was advertised as having the distance scale on the lanyard this did not have it when I collected the item. Anaconda never got back to me to rectify the issue (head office that is, Cleveland staff tried). I ended up going to a competitor and buying the next model up.

The Silva compass is easy to use, accurate, with very clear details.

Straight forward, easy to use and hold. Will need a longer lanyard if you want to use it around your neck

I was replacing an identical compass that I bought a short time ago which came off during a walk. Very frustrating as they’re not cheap. I like the integral magnifier and the measuring strap. A great compass apart from the apparent weakness of the clasp (which you can’t move so that it’s not at the back of your neck).
