De De'Longhi HMP1500 straalkachel wordt geprezen om zijn stille werking en gelijkmatige warmte, waardoor hij ideaal is voor slaapkamers en kleine tot middelgrote ruimtes. De kachel droogt de lucht niet uit en is licht van gewicht, wat verplaatsen of ophangen eenvoudig maakt. Nadelen zijn het ontbreken van een afstandsbediening en een lichte geur bij het eerste gebruik. In grotere of slecht geïsoleerde kamers is de warmte minder krachtig. Sommige gebruikers merken een zacht zoemend geluid op bij hoge stand, maar over het algemeen is de kachel zeer stil. Hij doet het wel maar verwarmt slechts als je er dichtbij zit.Had hem gekocht voor in de keuken.Mijn woning heeft de keuken en de woonkamer als 1 geheel.Dat kan die zeker niet verwarmen.Het wordt wel iets warmer in de ruimte(33 M3)maar 1,5 graden meer niet.Dus om een klein gedeelte van een ruimte te verwarmen kan deze wel wat doen.De wieltjes zijn wel handig en hij draait op Max stand hier.Een redelijk ding maar meer niet.

If you shake it there seems to be a loose screw in there, that is normal, it's suppose to be tip over protection or something like that. When you first turn it on it smells bad, set it to highest setting and run it outside for 3~4 hours to fix that. Been using for 6 month, no problems yet.

Contrary to what some reviews have said (they missunderstood the warnings) this heater IS wall mountable. What they DO NOT want you to do is direct the radiant heat toward a wall (within 3 ft. of the front) it really is common scense. The back side of the unit remains totally cool to the touch. I have this in an 8ft x 12ft shop (very little insulation (yet)) and on nights where it hits 30 deg f it has no issues keeping it comfortable and all while on the low setting. Once fully insulated this will be more than sufficient through the winter months.
