Bought 4 of these in November of 2018. Had one fail in August 2019, and one just failed today (December 1, 2019). This is nowhere the 5 years Seagate warrantys their drives for. I checked the serial number at Seagate's website and was informed that the drive was sold as part of a larger system. Definitely a used drive.

The title said it all. The drives are already failing.

Simple: Sold old, possibly used stock as brand new. Not worth any savings if they die. Have had older manufactured drives last longer.

You can see in the first picture, the bubble wrap with a sticker on it saying "Seagate Enterprise Capaci...l Bare Drive ST4000NM0023 New". The drive clearly is a Seagate ST4000NM0023 in the second picture. The first clue should be the Uline static shield bag it came sealed in in the third picture. I am sure Seagate does not buy bags from Uline. The worst offender is the S.M.A.R.T. Monitoring Tools report showing the drive has over 30,000 hours powered up! That over 3 years! This is clearly a scam.

These are USED not NEW as stated. Some work. Some don't. Some are reported as a Hitachi part # even though the label says Seagate. Something very scammy is going on with these sellers & these drives. You've been warned!
