This drive was purchased for a backup of a backup. I did a format, and then started copying thing which took about 18hours. There was a handful of weird "cluck" noises in this time while copying. But everything seems fine. Worth noting is that like other drives, it's not "2Tb", its 2,000 MB which means you get about 1.8TB of usable space. Other than that the physical look f the drive is also pretty cool
