This is DDR3L (1.35V) low voltage laptop memory. It will also work with DDR3 (1.5V) Laptops. No issues installing. Patriot manufacture DDR3 SODIMMs and then grade them as DDR3 or DDR3L. If you don’t need DDR3L there is no harm in using DDR3L (it’s a better grade), however if your laptop needs DDR3L you can’t use cheaper more generic DDR3 SODIMMs. Note this is quality memory from a reputable manufacture with excellent warranty you will probably never need. This is not the same as the other low cost options being offered.

Honestly does what it's supposed to do and that's give you more ram. I could see the difference in my laptops response but if you want to see a bigger difference, upgrade to an ssd as well if you have an hdd

Just popped it in. Works very well in my Lenovo T530 laptop - it is ten years old and requires DDR3 memory. Replaced the 4GB SO-DIMM with 2 x 8GB SO-DIMM's, running 16GB memory with improved performance. Also, these Patriot SO-DIMM's can handle 1.5v or 1.35v (The 1.35v runs cooler and uses less battery, but only if your motherboard controller can run 1.35v). I tested one Patriot module with my existing 4GB memory and it also worked very well with 12GB. Patriot Signature Line comes with a lifetime warranty.
