I would recommend one stick but not a double pack.

I am running an Intel i5 6400 with a Dell OC2XKD Mother Board. I was using 8 GB DDR3 PC3L-12800U speed ram but decided to upgrade to 16 GB. I tried using the new ram but my system didn't recognize it. I have tried troubleshooting problems but nothing has worked. So far I am very disappointed with this product. If you have any tips or suggestions on how to solve this problem please let me know. If I am unable to resolve the problem within a day or two, unfortunately, I will have to return it.

My motherboard is not compatible with the full speed of this RAM. I could get it to run a maximum of 1866Mhz. This is not a problem with the RAM, however. Just an oversight on my part. Be sure to make sure your motherboard is compatible with whatever you buy!

Memory cost is at a 2 - 3 low! I built two computers and put this memory in both during the Holidays 2015. And I would suggest many folks should consider a memory upgrade at this time. Yes, its DDR3 and that won't work for your next computer (If its DDR4) but my computers are 5 year builds and who cares after that. Reliability is a huge deal, and I will update should turds occur. But you know what? Lifetime warranty.
