Beowulf van Ubisoft biedt brute hack-and-slash actie en mythologische gevechten, met stemmen van de originele filmacteurs. De besturing is eenvoudig en de gevechten zijn spectaculair, maar de gameplay wordt snel repetitief en het verhaal is verwarrend. De speelduur is erg kort en puzzels zijn vaak onlogisch, wat voor frustratie zorgt. Grafische problemen en slechte camerahoeken komen vooral op PC voor. Ook kan de Carnal Fury-modus je eigen teamleden beschadigen, wat het strategisch spelen bemoeilijkt. Het spel is vooral geschikt voor fans van snelle actie, maar minder voor wie diepgang zoekt.

I actually liked this game. This game does let you live the life of Beowulf. I like how in the first episode they have a little bit of a rhythm game in it. After you resit Gendle's mother for as long as you can you then get a choice from your objectives either to be know as a monster slayer or a king. The game does have hard parts in it as well as good story lines. I would recomned this game to anyone that likes a good story and would like to see a visual interpation of the story

I like the game, the story is a bit old, but it's good. Really makes you think attack strategies to advance each of the game levels. I really like it, I recommend

I wish I had given the money used to purchase this game to homeless people who spent it on booze. Yes the movie was good but this game sucked on so many levels it is not even amusing. To complete a given task your little Beowulf avatar is moved in a preset path and you have to click on the appropriate button that is flashed on your screen at just the right moment. Save yourself some money and have some kid make some flash cards that he holds up and you grab the same symbol as fast as you can and hold it up too.....because that is what this game amounts to. I am sure the piles of unsold & left over copies of this game can be turned into low rent housing or something useful.

I wouldn't bother buying this game for PC unless you have a very good computer. So much relys on timing, and the glitching and general lag that comes up even on the lowest graphics setting makes getting things right at the right time almost impossible. However IF you can manage to get past these almost impossible moments then you can enjoy some fun with the games fighting, which although somewhat repetative is enjoyable.
