Academy of Champions op de Wii is een kleurrijk en kindvriendelijk voetbalspel met veel minigames en een verhaalmodus. De graphics zijn vrolijk en de aanwezigheid van Ubisoft-helden zoals Altair en de Prince of Persia is een leuke bonus. Toch zijn er duidelijke nadelen: de camerastandpunt en besturing zorgen vaak voor frustratie, en het spel bevat veel menu’s en tekst waardoor je minder echt voetbal speelt. Multiplayer is beperkt tot twee spelers offline, zonder online opties. Het spel is vooral geschikt voor jonge spelers die houden van afwisseling, maar minder voor wie een serieuze voetbalervaring zoekt.

This is a football game with a difference. Instead of the ultra-realism of Fifa or Pro Evo, this is a cartoony 5-a-side with lots of mini-games added on. It's also a lot more accessible that those ultra-simulations - it does not take long to start playing well enough to progress. The gameplay is the real strength of the game. It is very playable whether against a friend or in solo play. Playing alone, you go through a series of games, mini-games and interactions that allow you to improve your team by recruiting players, training up your team and purchasing better equipment. The mini-games are a bit of a mixed bag. Some of them are really good fun, but others can be a bit annoying. All in all a really good fun game.

bought it for my 5 yr old but ended up playing it myself - story mode is fun, a very enjoyable game if you want something different from a football game

I was unsure about this game before purchase but the low price meant it was worth a try. My son is football mad a wii mad and so has enjoyed the game very much. It is a fun game to play for football fans and keeps them entertained by rewarding wins with new teams.

My 6 year old loves this game. If allowed ,he would play this game all day long. Brilliant for keeping those soccer loves quiet during the day when the weather doesn't allow outdoor play.

Good game,, I have a seven and four year old, you can use wii remote only or with nunchuck which make it easier, also option of doing something with the wii board but we have not tried this yet.
