Sid Meier'S Railroads

Really fun, but the calm and relaxing kind. It makes you think strategically and that makes it the perfect 'Sunday afternoon' game. If you want hack 'n slash, then play Shadow Warrior 2. Fair warning, every now and then the game glitches and will build tracks that are 'submerged' in the terrain, or tracks that don't connect correctly, then you have to delete those sections and change the angle slightly. Usually it sorts itself out after rebuilding, and my wife and I have only very rarely had anyhing so bad as to make us restart the game.

A personal favorite, I revisit this game every few years. It never disappoints.

This is a very playable game. You can compelete a run in about n hour or so, and on hard setting its can be a challenge. The main defect is that the AI can cheat - it sometimes runs a line across yours without a bridge, and blocks you off. This can spoil a run as you feel you have lost unfailrly.

Choo choo! Runs great for me on Win 10 despite its age (crashes others report are rare for me although I remember them being an issue previously) and still looks terrific. The gameplay has aged just as well and scratches that business sim itch even if it's arcade-y compared to Railroad Tycoon and others. Definitely recommended.
