Final Fantasy XV Day One Edition voor Xbox One biedt een grote open wereld en een actievol gevechtssysteem, waardoor het avontuur en de band tussen de hoofdpersonen goed tot hun recht komen. De visuele presentatie en cutscenes worden vaak geprezen. Toch zijn er duidelijke nadelen: de prestaties op Xbox One zijn matig, met grafische problemen en haperingen. De auto-besturing is beperkt en verplicht, wat veel spelers storend vinden. Zijmissies zijn vaak repetitief en het verhaal mist soms samenhang, vooral in latere hoofdstukken. Over het algemeen is het een boeiend avontuur, maar technische en structurele minpunten moeten worden overwogen.

When reading through some of the reviews on this game, I am really confused. Now, I am an old school gamer and I have been doing it since I was a kid back in the 80’s. I think that some people take for granted how amazing video games have become. This is a gorgeous game, probably the prettiest game I have ever seen. The story line drags a little but not much different from any other FF game. Heck, this one may be the best storyline for an entry level player. Just by offering a storyline that has not been done before (Current time, but medieval warring setting), it should get points. For all those people that gave this game a rating less than 4 stars, I ask that they go play the very first FF or any amazingly rated RPG, from the 80’s (the Legend if Zelda, Love this game by the way). Games are meant to be a medium to have fun. This game is gorgeous and extremely deep and fun. If you are too stubborn to admit this, then your review should be taken with a grain of salt.

Good game. Plenty to do. Only drag is all the driving around but that isn't worth giving it less stars.

I love FFXV. The royal edition is how this game should’ve released. The extra content is a must have, especially if you like the base game. Would highly recommend.
