Disgaea DS biedt een diepgaande tactische RPG-ervaring met veel strategische mogelijkheden en een grote hoeveelheid content, vooral na het uitspelen van het hoofdverhaal. De humor en de personages zijn uniek en geliefd bij fans. De game is ideaal voor onderweg dankzij korte speelsessies. Nadelen zijn de verouderde graphics, het vele grinden dat nodig is om verder te komen, en het feit dat er weinig echt nieuwe content is toegevoegd ten opzichte van eerdere versies. Ook zijn de voice-acting en sommige verhaalscènes ingekort door de beperkingen van de DS-cartridge. Voor nieuwe spelers is het een aanrader, maar voor wie eerdere versies al heeft gespeeld, zijn de vernieuwingen beperkt.

Back in 2008 when I played this game, I wasn't into Strategy-RPGs, but I've since gotten into them more, and this is a very good one. Lots of hours of content, and tough enemies that you CAN beat with some clever strats instead of going back to grind endlessly.

It's a lot like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, but with a more potent sense of humour. The voices are particularly amusing, especially the Prinnies.

Disgaea is a great game. But this is a bad port. The graphics are lowered, the gameplay is slow, the sound quality is diminished, the menus are sloppy and not easy to go through, and everything feels lazy, as if putting a ps2 game on a ds was a bad idea.

I love this game. I had it before and it was "accidently" picked up by someone and taken with them. This game is unusual, but fun. GIve it a try!
