Babylon’s Fall Review ( PS5 ) – A live service game from developer Platinum Games isn’t exactly what you may expect to get from the Bayonetta developer, but it’s what we got with Babylon’s Fall . And what we got in Babylon’s Fall is, well, not much of anything. A poor effort at best, with a graphics filter that more often than not shows off the game in the worst light, although the cutscenes will have you questioning which actually looks worse. The combat can be fun for a time, though it’s repetitive nature quickly turns to a boring grind.

In november van vorig jaar mocht ik aan de slag met de derde en laatste beta van Babylon’s Fall. De game wist mij verre van te overtuigen. Zowat nergens werd de game goed onthaald en de reacties waren veelal negatief. Vier maanden later is de game uitgebracht. Heeft de ontwikkelaar de feedback ter harte genomen? Kan de game nu wel op positieve reacties rekenen? Bij velen zijn de verwachtingen alleszins hoog wanneer een ontwikkelaar zoals PlatinumGames (bekend van de Bayonetta games en NieR Automata) een game op de markt brengt.
