Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package biedt een enorme hoeveelheid content, inclusief alle DLC en de Capcom Heroes-modus, waardoor het de meest complete versie is voor PS4. De game is toegankelijk en biedt veel herspeelbaarheid, maar de gameplay wordt snel repetitief en mist de diepgang van eerdere delen. Technische problemen zoals bugs en laadtijden komen regelmatig voor. Door het verwijderen van de tijdslimiet is het spel minder uitdagend, wat vooral oude fans kan teleurstellen. De humor en over-the-top actie blijven echter een sterk punt voor wie vooral op zoek is naar luchtig zombieplezier.

Review: Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package – Na twee delen afwezigheid is hij dan eindelijk teruggekeerd op het PlayStation platform! Frank West staat in de spotlights in Dead Rising 4. De game is al een jaar uit op de Xbox One, maar nu kunnen ook PlayStation bezitters weer breinloos zombies in mootjes gaan hakken. Wij namen een kijkje in deze uitgave, die bol staat van de content, om te zien of het de moeite waard is om je in uit te leven, of dat het beter is om de strompelaar stilletjes aan ons voorbij te laten gaan. Dead Rising 4 is a medicore game. Every zombie looks exactly the same, the world is not even as interactive as in the original title, the gameplay is getting tired, Frank is less interesting this time around, and the plots standard. They also removed unique survivors, psychopaths, the timer and throwing any weapons. The inventory system will almost definitely dissapoint any long term fan, as it is far more restrictive. Only designated throwing weapons can be thrown, only designated melee weapons can be swung, food can't be used any other way than health restoration etc. Despite this, creative zombie killing is still as fun as ever. I would give it three stars but I think this title is an insult to the original that it shares its' setting and protagonist with.

This game was a mess, I didn't think I would miss the old Frank voice actor but this guy is 10x worse. Sounds like a really back Homer Simpson/ Bender wanna be. The gameplay got stale after an hour you spend more time running past zombies since combat is a chore and the weapons constantly break. These weapons feel like they have less alternate attacks and you can only throw certain weapons.

Dead Rising 4 Frank’s Big Package is in veel opzichten het pakket geworden dat het origineel had moeten zijn. Het is jammer dat er ook ditmaal geen coöperatieve modus, zoals in deel 2 en 3, geïntroduceerd is, maar het lijkt erop alsof Capcom de Dead Rising serie zo laagdrempelig mogelijk wil maken voor spelers. Omdat het spel geen multiplayer en online mogelijkheden heeft, is het vooral zaak dat de hoeveelheid content toereikend is voor mensen die solo spelen. Grafisch is Dead Rising 4 een gemiddeld spel dat nergens echt in uitblinkt. Het kersthema van het spel en het verhaal past prima bij deze tijd van het jaar en alles bij elkaar is Frank’s Big Package een leuke verzameling van het spel plus de DLC die het afgelopen jaar op de Xbox One is verschenen. I like it but its not nearly as good as number. The multi player starts to get so boring and some portions are really hard. it doesn't have a feature to join in story mode. so that sucks bigtime.
