Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku! biedt snelle, korte dungeons en veel herspeelbaarheid, vooral dankzij de uitgebreide aanpassingsmogelijkheden en het diepe Magic Circle-systeem. De retro pixel-art stijl en Japanse setting vallen in de smaak bij liefhebbers van klassieke dungeon crawlers. Wel moet je rekening houden met veel grind en herhaling, een oppervlakkig verhaal en soms onhandige besturing. Ook kunnen de vele menu’s en upgrades in het begin overweldigend zijn. Voor spelers die van strategische actie en veel content houden, is dit een sterke keuze, maar wie op zoek is naar een diepgaand verhaal of vloeiende besturing kan beter verder kijken.

I bought this along with a game I had spent about a month researching; turns out that game I obsessed over was garbage, and this game that I had bought on a whim was great! The game play is simple and fun, but the process of leveling up your character and weapons is quite complicated and intriguing. The only downside was that the story and the world was a bit confusing to understand. If you love retro-style games like I do, don't hesitate to pick this up!
