Super Dungeon Bros biedt een kleurrijke co-op ervaring met tot vier spelers, zowel lokaal als online. De procedureel gegenereerde kerkers zorgen voor enige variatie, maar de gameplay wordt snel repetitief en de omgevingen lijken vaak op elkaar. De besturing voelt traag en onhandig, vooral bij het aanvallen, en solo spelen is slecht gebalanceerd waardoor het frustrerend kan zijn. Wapens verschillen nauwelijks van elkaar en voelen niet krachtig aan. De game is vooral leuk met vrienden, maar mist diepgang en afwisseling die je van een goede dungeon crawler mag verwachten.

I bought this game for my 10 year old son in hopes him and buddies would enjoy a multiplayer game they can play with with each other that doesn’t require online gameplay with strangers. The fighting style was so weak they couldn’t get past the first level. Mario is more exciting and requires more brain power to play.

Gameplay is reminiscent of Gauntlet but with the added headache of platforming-style jumps; it takes a lot of dying to get anywhere, which is fun for some like myself but definitely not everyone. I think the humor was alright but poor audio balancing and lack of subtitles ensured we missed most of the jokes. Additionally, the realization that a lot of the content, including playable girls, is locked behind paywalls was an immense frustration; it would have been less insulting if there had been no Broettes at all. The devs should have ensured they stayed free like they were on release, and made other character options for microtransactions instead.

Video games today fall into three categories: - Games with instruction manuals (rare) - Games with in-game tutorials (90% or more) - None of the above. And none of the above is where I'd categorize this game. Controls are not explained nor is general gameplay (the threat meter for example). Once the kids and I figured out most of the game's finer points, it turned out to be a very decent game. A couple more passes through quality control would have made this one a must-have, in my opinion.

Terrible. I am so disappointed. Buggy glithy and can get stuck in death loops that force you to exit and restart game.. Within 60 seconds of starting a new game...
