Grand Kingdom Limited Edition - PS4

This game annoyed me from the very first battle, where my archer got cornered, my medic doesn't do any fighting at all and my mage can't hit a thing without also hitting allies. So this is how this is going to be, huh? I think I can find something else to play.

I used to love RPGs as a teen but after over a decade away from games this makes me want to stick with reading books in my spare time. The most annoying thng about this game is the game's inability to follow its own rule set. I've lost battles where I kill an enemy multiple times and player grit resurrects the enemy multiple time. Even when that happens the character comes back with 1 hit point yet survives a loss of 142 points from being poisoned. Another mind boggling experience is when two characters hit double attack back to back. Double attack only has a 5% chance of working. These usually happen in the war mode. The actual storyline is really short and just didn't strike me as very original. Animus was the main enemy but you don't even get to see him. How many RPGs have to steal from psychologist Carl Jung for monster names. I'm not very happy with this purchase and regret the time I spent playing it.

The combination of real time and turn based combat does not work well. Battles are tedious and leveling is slow. The story is generic and uninteresting with few named characters.

Different from your typical Srpg, it's fun but I can't help but feel this game put too much into it's online aspect instead of putting more classes and abilities into the game. Haven't played much of the story, hell I barely touch this game. Don't get me wrong the battle mechanic is fun its just the whole online thing held this game back.
