The Witch and the Hundred Knight - PlayStation 3

The Witch and the Hundred Knight offers an interesting take on action RPGs from Nippon Ichi Software, featuring a unique 5-weapon combo system that allows creative combat approaches. However, potential buyers should be aware of significant issues. The game suffers from a brutal difficulty spike near the end requiring hours of grinding, and many mechanics are poorly explained or confusing. While the dark humor and whimsical storytelling appeal to NIS fans, the combat often feels repetitive and bland, mostly involving button mashing. The 3D graphics and dungeon designs are sparse compared to NIS's usual 2D sprite work. This title works best for dedicated NIS fans who appreciate the developer's signature humor and don't mind grinding, but action RPG enthusiasts expecting polished combat may find it frustrating and disappointing.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 review code provided by the publisher . The Witch and the Hundred Knight , though only receiving mixed reviews at the time of its release in 2013, garnered enough of a cult following that an updated version, The Witch and the Hundred Knight: Revival Edition, was released in 2016. This version fortunately saw many improvements and upgrades, including the fix of a game-breaking bug that a wider audience was able to enjoy it, even if only a little. Thankfully, there was enough demand for a sequel that NIS America saw fit to give it to us, and in this The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 review, I’ll let you know if this sequel was worth the wait, or if it surpasses the original in quality and style (hint: it was, and it does.)

Great purchase. Love the Metallia figurine and soundtrack, too. The game's also being remastered on the PS4, so a couple issues like the occasional crash/frozen will be fixed, along with some new features. Still alittle miffed about it being remastered after I purchased it, though.

The game is a bit buggy, which was never fixed for the US release. Be warned, that certain crashes may lead you to waste almost double the time required to complete the game, especially if you're doing some of the longer missions in the latter parts. There are also seemingly "missing" or "incomplete" features in the game; they have entries (like upgrading armor), but it's simply not possible to do. Nobody knows why this is. If you have a PS4, pick up the PS4 version when it comes out. It's supposedly "complete".

The story I am enjoying, the gameplay itself is a little odd. The top down semi Diablo ish gameplay is a little odd.
