Splatoon 2 biedt een unieke en kleurrijke shooter-ervaring met veel variatie in wapens, modi en kaarten. De multiplayer is verslavend en de Salmon Run co-op modus wordt vaak als hoogtepunt genoemd. De singleplayer is duidelijk verbeterd ten opzichte van het origineel. Nadelen zijn het ontbreken van lokale split-screen multiplayer, beperkte voice chat en dat Salmon Run niet altijd speelbaar is. Ook zorgt de maprotatie soms voor frustratie omdat je niet altijd je favoriete map kunt kiezen. Voor fans van snelle, creatieve shooters is dit echter een absolute aanrader.

There is no local multiplayer despite that being one of the bullet points. You have to have two Switch systems to play with another person in the same room. Vry disappointing.
