Big Hero 6: Battle in the Bay is een eenvoudig platformspel dat vooral geschikt is voor jonge spelers. Je kunt verschillende helden besturen, elk met hun eigen moves, en er zijn verzamelobjecten en upgrades te vinden. Toch is de gameplay erg repetitief en biedt het weinig uitdaging, zelfs voor beginners. De graphics zijn matig en vijanden herhalen zich vaak, waardoor het spel snel saai wordt. De besturing en platforming zijn niet altijd betrouwbaar en het verhaal is dun, zonder gesproken tekst. Voor echte fans van de film kan het leuk zijn, maar gamers die meer diepgang zoeken zullen teleurgesteld zijn.

I got this game for my 7 year old little boy named Logan. He kept asking me "Mommy pweeeze get me Big hero 6 I just reawwy wanna pway it". I couldn't say no to that haha. I bought it and he just loves it. It is great for keeping him occupied especially during times when we need to go to appointments or when I just want some me time to watch a movie.

This was a big hit with an 8 year old. He was challenged, but was able to have success at different levels. He tells me often, "I love that DS game grandma".
