Yoshi's New Island biedt klassieke platformactie met vloeiende besturing en veel verzamelobjecten, waardoor het leuk is voor fans van het genre en jongere spelers. De grafische stijl is kleurrijk en vriendelijk, maar het leveldesign mist de creativiteit van eerdere delen en voelt vaak vlak aan. Bossgevechten zijn eenvoudig en de muziek is niet memorabel. Nieuwe spelelementen en minigames zijn aanwezig, maar voegen weinig toe aan de ervaring. Voor wie op zoek is naar een toegankelijke platformer is dit een degelijke keuze, maar wie meer diepgang zoekt kan teleurgesteld zijn.

This is clearly some sort of knock off. The label was printed on a color ink jet printer and is all pixelated, and it doesn’t look the same as the picture of the item listed.

I bought this for my sons birthday. Glad I checked the game before wrapping it up for him, game can not be played on American Nintendo 3ds systems. Needless to say, very disappointing.

Awesome as usual. I love the 3DS. I think the game looks great and plays phenomenally. Can’t go wrong with a Yoshi game.

When my game arrived it was not the US release. It was the UAE Saudi Arabia/Singapore release. The color of the case is much duller than the US version. The flower person doesn't extend to the right side of the case either. The game does play (DS is region unlocked) but I could have paid less and bought the Nintendo Selects version. I'm just a nerd who prefers the original releases over the Selects versions.
