Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage - Windows

I have given a 4star because the activation code did not work, but the seller was very prompt in giving me a refund which included P/P, if the code had worked it would have been 5 star

Two good games of decent length and difficulty. I played on windows 8 and had no trouble with either game loading from disc. A little long on the reading and short on actual action for my liking and very linear. I got it at a bargain price so am not complaining but I would have been disappointed if I had paid good money.

Hunt for clues to solve the mystery. Explore dark and scary locations. Visually impressive with scary audio to back it up. A first person adventure thriller. Multiple difficulty settings.

This was bought as a gift so I haven't played it personally. My daughter already has In Pursuit of Noath Holder so I bought this on her recommendtion.

Not a bad game overall, though the hint system is vital to get you through the idiosyncratic way objects and ideas are combined to solve puzzles. The game would get another star if the 2nd game, Dark Lineage, allowed use of mouse controls instead of insisting on using the keyboard, which I frankly find so much of a pain I've not got out of the opening scene yet
