Dragon Age: Origins biedt een diepgaand verhaal, sterke personages en veel herspeelbaarheid dankzij de verschillende keuzes en origin stories. Het gevechtssysteem is uitdagend en vereist tactisch inzicht, maar kan voor nieuwkomers overweldigend zijn door het vele micromanagement. De graphics zijn inmiddels verouderd en sommige omgevingen ogen minder fraai, maar de uitstekende voice-acting en muziek maken veel goed. Spelers moeten rekening houden met een soms pittige moeilijkheidsgraad en af en toe technische problemen of glitches. Voor liefhebbers van klassieke RPG’s is dit echter nog steeds een aanrader.

Its works better then the Steam version, but I would not call it good. Still crashes a lot.

Choosing Play from GOG opens the DAO launcher which instantly crashes when you press play or configure. You have to open the DAOrigins.exe in the install folder. So much for the "This game is 2026-ready" label.

The patches largely seem to have worked. I only crash once per map area now instead of every 5 minutes. Minor inconveniance but now at least I can actually play the game.
