The game was linear and predictable, and I was glad to finish it. There are some pluses: good graphics plus zombies. However I can't recommend this. Also the SecuROM DRM is buggy and the game denied the fact that the CD was in the drive (it was!) The game just would not run at first. SecuROM support were useless, but I found an online crack that let me play it. I almost wish I hadn't!

ik ben zeer goed te spreken over dit artikel... het spel is zoals ik t had gehoopt vantevoren..veel spanning,zeer bloederig.. en heel gedetaileerd,zoals:.als je iemand met een zwaar kaliber wapen van dichtbij op t hoofd schiet.en vervolgens halve kop of hele kop erafschiet met bloed en wegspattende hersenweefsel..enz... als first person kom je spectaculaire dingen tegen,het geluid..veel spanning..iedere keer ben je verbaasd van wat je steeds weer tegenkomt,t verveeld nooit! al is t spel beetje aan de donkere kant,maar dat maakt t juist weer bruut. dus hou je van wreed en veel bloed,en schokkende momenten tijdens t spel?,dan is shellshok die je moet hebben!

I really haven't! Whilst I haven't previously read reviews for this game it looked interesting and didn't have that annoying Securom rubbish stuck on. The graphics looked palpable whilst the pictures made it look as though I was playing a FPS Silent Hill-type war game. But that isn't saying much. The game play is ropey, there are massive technical errors and I just had to switch it off because I found it so so bad. I agree with one of the reviewers here, don't buy, don't rent, don't borrow, don't even bother. I regret my idiocy of forking money out for this piece of rubbish and will now go and bang my head against a brick wall for doing so. Avoid.

It's hard to believe Rebellion studios created the amazing Aliens V Predator game. That was over six years ago and they haven't been able to top it since. Shellshock 2 would have reviewed badly in 2003 and today it isn't worth the time to load up onto your pc. I was surprised to notice that I wasn't asked to punch in a key-code (as is the standard fare for PC games). I suspect the makers knew there was little chance of this guff being shared between friends let alone pirated. Gameplay alarm bells were ringing when the first close combat attack asked me to punch in a combo of the arrow keys to push the attacker away. Keep in mind this is a first person shooter? One of two things happened. Either the designers of this game were drinking bong water from the start or had just been defrosted from 2003 and suffered brain damage. Shellshock 2 is a terrible game and Rebellion and Eidos have damaged their reputations by sticking their names on the box.
