Mass Effect 3 Special Edition is een sterke actie-RPG met veel keuzevrijheid, mooie graphics en een episch verhaal. Het grote nadeel is dat alleen deel 3 op Wii U beschikbaar is, waardoor nieuwe spelers het verhaal minder goed kunnen volgen en personages minder diepgang hebben. Alle DLC’s zijn wel inbegrepen en de GamePad-functies zijn handig, maar technische foutjes komen soms voor. Al met al een aanrader voor fans van het genre, maar minder ideaal als eerste kennismaking met de serie.

I'm surprised by how good this port actually is, compared to other games. It runs at 1080p at near solid 60fps, which is sadly quite surprising considering most 3rd party ports run at 720p and can't even hold a solid 30fps. Which begs the question, why don't other games pull this off as smoothly? Either ME3 ain't a demanding game or every other port is just half baked. In any case, the game's all there, minus the DLC & save transfer system from ME2.
