Lost Planet 2 biedt spectaculaire co-op actie met grote eindbazen en veel aanpassingsmogelijkheden, vooral leuk met vrienden. De multiplayer is uitgebreid en de graphics zijn indrukwekkend. Het verhaal is echter zwak en verwarrend, en solo spelen wordt bemoeilijkt door slechte AI-teamgenoten. Missies zijn vaak repetitief en de singleplayer voelt minder belangrijk dan de multiplayer. Voor liefhebbers van co-op shooters is het een aanrader, maar wie een sterke singleplayer zoekt, kan beter verder kijken.
