Persona 4 Arena op PlayStation 3 wordt geprezen om zijn toegankelijke besturing, waardoor zowel nieuwkomers als fans van vechtspellen snel kunnen instappen. De handgetekende graphics en het anime-achtige uiterlijk vallen goed in de smaak, net als de uitgebreide verhaalmode die verschillende personages en perspectieven biedt. De selectie van vechters is groot en gevarieerd, wat zorgt voor veel afwisseling. Wel is er kritiek op het feit dat veel extra personages en content alleen via betaalde DLC beschikbaar zijn. Ook vinden sommige spelers het verhaal te langdradig en mist het spel grote vernieuwingen ten opzichte van de vorige editie. Over het algemeen is het een sterke keuze voor fans van Persona en vechtspellen, maar houd rekening met de DLC en het tempo van het verhaal.

When you get the developers of Blazblue and the team behind one of Atlus' most popular franchises together this is the result. The three dlc characters cost $15 extra and you can purchase items that you can unlock normally through game play. Other than that this is a great game for fighting game fans. If you are new to it however, I would recommend going though the tutorial and then trying easy mode before playing on the higher difficulties. Also, online multiplayer is very shallow so focus on single player or local multiplayer instead.

I had been considering this game for a long time, and I'm glad I did! The story is quirky and well-done, and the characters all feel unique enough to give it a solid feeling each time you play someone new. It's always best to play with friends around, too. :)
