Disgaea DS biedt een enorm diepe en strategische RPG-ervaring met veel content en herspeelbaarheid. Het verhaal is humoristisch en de personages zijn geliefd bij fans. De besturing via touchscreen en dubbele schermen werkt goed, en de multiplayer en extra bonusinhoud voegen waarde toe. Wel zijn er duidelijke moeilijkheidspieken en is veel grind vereist, wat niet voor iedereen aantrekkelijk is. De grafische kwaliteit is lager dan op andere versies en sommige spelmechanieken zijn niet altijd duidelijk uitgelegd. Voor liefhebbers van tactische RPG’s is dit een aanrader, maar casual spelers moeten rekening houden met de uitdaging.

Back in 2008 when I played this game, I wasn't into Strategy-RPGs, but I've since gotten into them more, and this is a very good one. Lots of hours of content, and tough enemies that you CAN beat with some clever strats instead of going back to grind endlessly.

It's a lot like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, but with a more potent sense of humour. The voices are particularly amusing, especially the Prinnies.

Disgaea is a great game. But this is a bad port. The graphics are lowered, the gameplay is slow, the sound quality is diminished, the menus are sloppy and not easy to go through, and everything feels lazy, as if putting a ps2 game on a ds was a bad idea.

I love this game. I had it before and it was "accidently" picked up by someone and taken with them. This game is unusual, but fun. GIve it a try!
