Dvd Hannibal - Season 1

this series is a pretty fun watch if you enjoyed the Hannibal movie series but for me this seemed to have a few too many episodes and dragged in the middle. it might work better with 10 or so episodes. don't get me wrong, I loved the storyline, settings, dialogue, the excellent three main characters and yes I am definitely looking forward to future seasons.. but there are just too many "serial killer of the week" episodes for me to want to watch them twice. some felt like filler. the video quality is as good as any other tv show. im always surprised when tv shows have such high production value and this one gives us a lot to look at in very sharp detail. the soundtrack of classical music shows off the excellent audio. has a decent amount of extras and supplemental material.

Has no subtitles or extras. What gives? Great picture quality, even better audio. Hannibal is my most favorite show to binge watch. Had to buy the second season on Bluray the day after I bought the first. The picture quality is the same as the 1080p TV broadcasts but the surround sound has improved. I'm annoyed by the fact there are no subtitles as Mads' (Hannibal) accent can be thick sometimes and be hard to understand. This show is perfect for anyone with free time to kill; an easy watch from beginning to end. It's a show that needs to be watched in one go to fully grasp how amazing it is just to follow the story.

Set prior to Thomas Harris' novel Red Dragon , this exceedingly gruesome and equally stylish police procedural follows the early relationship between 'troubled' FBI special investigator Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and consulting psychiatrist-cum-cannibal Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen). This hi-def set's AVC 1.78:1 1080p encodes excel at capturing the show's eye-catching visuals and the DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio is superbly nuanced. Extras, however, are virtually nonexistent, with only a couple of brief TV promo featurettes included on the final disc.
