Dvd Frankenweenie

Lapsikatsojat eivät tietysti mistään Burtonin varhaisteoksista tiedä tai piittaa, mutta heille teos on luultavasti vain yksi animaatioelokuva muiden joukossa. Sitä se on myös aikuiskatsojalle, jolle uusio- Frankenweenie on leppoisa ja hieman valju välityö.

Frankenweenie is a joyful, weird, funny, and sweet film. It isn't really a story with depth, but it certainly is Burton's best film he has made in the last few years even if it is a bit disappointing. I give this film 68%.

Oscargenomineerde stopmotionfilm van Tim Burton in stemmig zwartwit. De jonge Victor Frankenstein brengt zijn dode hond Sparky weer tot leven. Als klasgenoten ontdekken wat Victor heeft gedaan, proberen ze dat na te doen met onvermoede consequenties. Knap gemaakte film die als basis de onvoorwaardelijke liefde tussen mens en huisdier heeft en leuke verwijzingen geeft naar klassieke horrorfilms.

This movie was great, had a great story & had all of the great Tim Burton style everyone is used to. While the whole film is in black & white, the story & concept of the film & characters make you completely forget about that. This movie has some great plot twists & one of the more interesting but good concepts for a movie. The only really disappointing part was a pretty weak and/or expected ending that almost anyone can see coming, but up until the last couple minutes of the film, this is a great movie.

Tim Burton is always good when he enters in mainstream area, I find Alice in Wonderland was good. Frankenweenie was exceptional, black and white stop-motion animation with entertaining premise and spectacular 3D. Oh, Burton you so much win!
