Dvd Finding Nemo

I remeber watching this a lot as a kid on DVD. I rebought this film in 3D due to my recent purchase of a 3D projector. Here are my thoughts. Video: Looks absolutely beautiful. Amazing detail and colors pop. 3D: I seriously thought I was underwater. One scene that stood out was the Disney and Pixar presents, and then the title, and not to mention you go deeper into the water. I thought I was hoing deeper in the ocean. Amazing depth and dimensionality. Audio: Another factor that made me think I was underwater. Extras: Not only are the DVD extras ported over, but there is also enough new content as well to keep you busy. Overall: Must own on 3D!

This is one of those movies which is good in spite of itself; there's no one thing in this movie which is really incredible, but the whole thing ends up coming together to be enjoyable. The whole thing is sort of a "random journey" plot, but it comes together well due to Dory's eccentricity. Nemo's interactions with the tank fish are a little goofy, but there's some stuff that ends up working well, and Gill worked well as a character. The movie just manages to make itself work despite not having the best plot in the world.

Finding Nemo was one of the few Pixar films I missed out on its theatrical release and I've regretted it ever since. I had to make up for it somehow. When news about this came out it, I knew this was the chance. Even before reading any positive reviews of the blu-ray, I always knew the picture and sound were going to phenomenal. Seeing this blu-ray for the first time on high-def is a blast. There were certain details like scales on the fish and specs in the water I haven't noticed before on standard def. The special features, as usual, never disappoints. Ever since my purchase on The Incredibles, I always went for the filmmaker discussion featurette. Insightful and full of enthusiasm, seeing them enjoy the whole process of making the movie is inspirational. This goes to show no one walks away on a Pixar film and live without regretting it. The blu-ray release of Finding Nemo is presented in the best way possible within the formats capability.

Already one of my favourite Pixar films, seeing Finding Nemo in 3D was a breathtaking experience! My plasma 55in active 3D tv looked like a tank with fish swimming right above my ottoman. Best 3D conversion I have seen ever. Well done Disney!!

Finding Nemo is wonderful. While it may not have Up’s unbelievable first ten minutes or the tear jerking ending to Toy Story 3, ten year later the film still holds up as one of Pixar’s finest. It has a simple story that kids can follow that does an excellent job balancing comedy, drama, and horror. The characters are all likeable and memorable. Plus, the animation is outstanding making you feel like you are underwater. Ten years later the animation has not aged a bit. The film is perfect for kids and great for adults and you need to see it if you have not already
