District 9 had een prachtige onderliggende boodschap en dat maakte Blomkamp in eens wereldberoemd. Hoewel Elysium in zekere zin over de slavernij ging, werd het vooral een goede actiefilm. Dit maakt Chappie de eerste echte Blomkamp film sinds District 9 en wat mij betreft de eerste Blomkamp film die echt om een vervolg vraagt. Onze tip voor dit weekend.

About the best thing I can say about the series is that it often looks very good. It was filmed in Durango, and not Texas where many Westerns were once made. You can see some rather fine John Ford vistas that really make this far more of a Western than a docudrama. Throw in some Indian skirmishes and a few of the trappings of the typical Western, and you have the package that is Texas Rising . It’s intended to put some historical perspective, if not exactly accuracy on the old battle cry: “ Remember The Alamo”.

District 9 was an excellent movie, but this Chappie is boring, stupidy, bad story, bad actors. I think even a child won´t get to see these movie without sleep. Great PQ .... just that ! I am from Brasil, sorry my languages mistakes.
