Garmin Edge 840 Solar GPS-fietscomputer, inclusief aerodynamische stuurhouder

The interface is so confusing you can never find a setting twice in a row, it loses connection with your phone, it takes forever to download videos, and you have to create a Wi-Fi network between the device and your phone, it’s incessantly popping up alerts and making noises there’s no way to silence them, you can’t just enjoy your ride without it being incredibly invasive.

I absolutely love this head unit! I am very glad I got the touch screen, it is very easy to navigate through the menus using this feature. I believe it would be much more difficult to use without a touch screen. I have had no visibility issues, even in full sun, my backlight is set to automatic. It does everything I need and gives me lots extra to play with, great tool and a fun toy.

The difference between my Edge Explore to the 840 is huge. Battery life, functionality, displays, accuracy are all 4X improvements. Something that seems trivial is the rear charging port that will easily allow on the bike recharging - however now I’m not sure I will need it. I stayed with the touch screen and that is also much more responsive. These also pair with my Meta glasses, which is nice

Same Garmin as always, it looks good, better screen, good battery life, but then it doesn't synch, or it won't pick up Bluetooth. Their products are junk, as they have been for years. Now they are just ever more expensive junk. To use any of their devices you need to have on you 1) a phone 2) the phone with a bike navigation app such as ride with GPS, 3) phone with Bluetooth and Garmin connect running, and the device itself that has the worst satellite syncing, uploading, etc.
