De Panasonic Lumix DC-FZ82D biedt een indrukwekkende 60x zoom en 4K video, waardoor hij veelzijdig is voor reis- en natuurfotografie. De autofocus is snel en het ontwerp is gebruiksvriendelijk. Echter, de beeldkwaliteit daalt sterk bij hoge zoom, vooral boven 400mm. Het vaste scherm en het ontbreken van een oogsensor zijn nadelen, net als de matige stabilisatie bij maximale zoom. Voor wie veel zoom wil voor een redelijke prijs en vooral buiten fotografeert, is dit een aantrekkelijke keuze, maar verwacht geen topkwaliteit beelden bij het maximale bereik.

Het toestel op zich is ok. De grootste troef is de superzoom. Er is weinig concurrentie in dit segment toestellen spijtig genoeg en daar profiteert Panasonic van. De prijs tegenover zijn voorganger is met ongeveer 40%gestegen. Waarom ik het toestel afraad: er steekt een beknopte handleiding bij in 6 verschillende talen behalve in het Nederlands! Na verschillende frustrerende e-mails met Panasonic wordt uiteindelijk toegegeven dat die handleiding in het Nederlands gewoon niet bestaat! Ze verwijzen naar de uitgebreide handleiding voor geavanceerde functies van 311 pagina's. Die moet je dan maar downloaden of zelf afprinten. Niet echt handig als je op safari gaat. Ga ik nog ooit een Panasonic toestel kopen? Absoluut niet als er geen Nederlandstalige handleiding bijsteekt. Hoe kan Panasonic in Vlaanderen een toestel verkopen zonder Nederlandstalige handleiding. Ik heb nog nooit meegemaakt bij een aankoop dat er geen Nederlandstalige handleiding bijsteekt. Schandalig gewoon.

I bought this four months ago to complement my existing Canon 77D as the 1200 mm lens should be better than the 18-200 on the Canon for wildlife shots. I have taken it away on trips twice now and there seems to be a fault in either the software or the camera. Every time I turn it on, the auto focus area that I have previously set has not been retained by the camera. The yellow-bordered resize window appears instead of the AF frame or the AF area has moved from the centre of the screen to either the top left or bottom right of the screen. This is most annoying, as the camera has to be reset before use. Point and shoot it is not! The lack of a lens hood is annoying, as is the lack of an available battery charger for off-camera charging. Oh, and taking pictures in overcast weather (a typical British summer's day) resulted in every shot being woefully underexposed.

Excellent camera. Very intuitive. The zoom is amazing. Bought for taking wildlife and landscape photos. Shame to software does not work with IOS / Mac but can still download just by plugging in. Only improvement would be to have WiFi to link up with phone, which some of the smaller LUMIX ones do.
