De Nikon D850 met 24-120mm f/4 lens biedt uitzonderlijke beeldkwaliteit, hoge resolutie en een breed dynamisch bereik, wat hem ideaal maakt voor zowel landschappen als portretten. De lens is veelzijdig en levert scherpe beelden, maar vertoont wel wat vervorming en vignettering, vooral aan de randen. De camera presteert uitstekend bij weinig licht en hoge ISO-waarden, terwijl de beeldstabilisatie bewegingsonscherpte effectief tegengaat. Het geheel is robuust gebouwd, maar het gewicht en formaat maken hem minder geschikt voor reizen. Autofocus is snel bij stilstaande onderwerpen, maar minder bij snelle actie. De bokeh is acceptabel, maar niet zo vloeiend als bij snellere prime-lenzen. Over het algemeen is dit een uitstekende keuze voor serieuze fotografen die veelzijdigheid en beeldkwaliteit zoeken, maar er zijn enkele compromissen op het gebied van gewicht, lensprestaties en autofocus bij actie.

Feels very solid and strong. The grip is great and it seems pretty straight forward to use even though I think there is more I need to learn about it. Image quality is great and 45MP is great if you want to crop images. Battery life for it is great too which is the main reason I chose it over a mirrorless.

vanaf de D7200 een echte upgrade, behalve de flitser die is er niet. Fullframe en veel lichtsterker! wel opletten dat er een ander soort geheugensslot is. De batterij is hetzelfde als de D7200

brought to replace a D700, and the weight difference is noticeable, can tell its 3+ generations newer, feels lighter and faster, will take a while to get used to, but definitely an upgrade, will mean that my loved D700 will be for throwing around until it starts showing battle scars and wear and tear from being used, but will keep me going for many years to come, and hopefully mirrorless takes a back step and a D900 gets released as a love for the SLR!

The D850 is an incredible DSLR, but since I bought a refurbished unit, it didn’t come with the original box. That’s a bit disappointing.
