De Nikon Coolpix P950 is een bridgecamera met een 16 megapixel CMOS-sensor van 1/2,3 inch. De vaste lens biedt een 83x optische zoom met een bereik van 24–2000mm in kleinbeeldequivalent. Het toestel weegt ongeveer 1005 gram inclusief accu en kaart en meet circa 140 x 110 x 150 mm. De maximale fotouitvoer is 4608 x 3456 pixels. Aan de achterzijde bevindt zich een 3,2 inch vari-angle scherm voor weergave en bediening. De camera ondersteunt ook 4K video-opname.

I bought this camera 4 months ago. I'm happy and frustrated at the same time. Long distance photography is great as long as we have daytime. The autofocus is frustrating very sluggish. The camera has the potential to be great, but needs a better autofocus and a bigger sensor.

I am very happy with the P950. I have other cameras with larger sensors, but if you like nature photography, as I do, there is nothing as good as the Nikon P950. You can handhold at 2000mm and get a great shot. The photos I am attaching are at max zoom, and I needed that. The image stabilization is just great. Like any camera purchase -- know what you want to do, know what the camera can do, then make you decision based on best fit for your needs and price for your budget.

This is our third Coolpix camera that we have bought from this company. We love these cameras and we always get great service from this company. I wouldn't go anywhere else to shop.

Have found the P950 to be amazing. From telephoto landscape to telephoto moon shots. Video capability is amazing as well.
