HP Pro 400 G9 tower desktop pc D18KNES [Intel Core i7-13700, 32 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, Intel UHD Graphics 770, Windows 11 Pro]

Replaced an old PC with this one, Chose HP on past experience, found it a bit tricky to add another SSD drive inside since the screw holes for mounting are bigger than standard so had to use some washers... there is no optical drive (I know I'm a dinosaur) and you need special bezel parts to add one yourself and there isn't provision for powering it because I had to use the power cable for the additional SSD drive, whilst I am happy overall with the PC I do feel HP could look at the way other suppliers make it easy to add drives to their machines. I needed the sff case due to space requirements plus I needed to add a PCIe video card in addition to the onboard one which steals a lot of RAM.... ov pleased with my purchase though..

Bought this to replace our existing HP workstation that had a failing SD drive after five years of faultless use. Found the new one easy to set up and had no difficulty connecting to 365 account

I thought this was a good deal. We received it a week ago and it is slower than the 7 your old computer it replaced. Updated BIOS, OS, app, etc. I removed all startup apps. It passes all HW diagnostics, but takes overnight. It takes forever to boot and it is impossible to accomplish basic tasks on this computer. I'll call HP, but I am likely returning this PC.

The Mini is compact and sleek and well designed. However, performance so far is horrendous. Many times the system will take 45-60 minutes to shut down because of system work. What the work is is never clear, but I'm beginning to thing that HP Wolf and other bloatware is part of the problem. Hopefully performance will improve as initial system set up completes, but so far that hasn't happened.
