Noctua NH-U14S

Deze koeler zit al 7 jaar in mijn PC en is meeverhuisd in de recente upgrade naar het AM5 platform. Dit was mogelijk omdat Noctua voor nog geen tientje montagekits verkoopt voor dit nieuwe socket. Nu koelt hij een Ryzen 7 7700X. Dit is een processor die warm kan worden omdat deze zich, zolang de gezette grens van 5500MHz nog niet is bereikt en er power in het budget over is, blijft boosten tot 95 graden. Toch koelt de NH-U14S de CPU prima. Zeker nu ik de CPU heb voorzien van een DIY ECO mode instelling met een PPT van 100W ipv 145W en CurveOptimizer @ -10; Een all-core workload in stresstestingtool OCCT blijft onder de 70 graden met onhoordbare fansnelheid van 700-800RPM.

Big cooler but snugly fits in my Fractal Compact case. Simple to install even for a first timer like me. Using it to cool a Ryzen 5 7600x and it's almost silent unless I'm gaming, and even then it's nowhere near loud - the chip runs hot (as designed) but I've not seen any evidence of throttling. Highly recommended!

I purchased one of these from here, because I had purchased it before online. This thing works like a beast. It can easily cool anything from a Ryzen 3 to an i3 or higher. I have one installed with a R5 3600 and a R9 3900X. Both work great, and I actually installed a second fan on the 3900X, for slightly improved cooling. Would recommend 100%. NH-D15S might be smaller for your case, but you also need to consider RAM clearance with that and this cooler, as well as the case's max cpu cooler height clearance.

This product is easy to install and gives you what it is made for. The first time I ran it I had to check to make sure it was on because of how quiet it is. While monitoring the temperature it kept my cpu temperature down significantly more than other fans when under a load.
