Asus ROG Ryujin II 240

So I bought ASUS ROG Ryujin 240 just under 3 weeks ago, it works perfectly it was easy to install and wire as there wasn’t too much to install after getting the Radiator fitted. The only thing that made it a slight disappointment was that the had to install it 90 degrees and couldn’t add the protective shell on it due to the AMD CPU location what’s on the ASUS AMD Ryzen X570 ROG Crosshair VIII (Wi-Fi) otherwise I am pleased overall with how it runs.

got this for my birthday back in april. been a solid cooler and really has been pushed to its cooling limits. its sat ontop of a 3900x so not exactly a subtle cpu. even doing a blender render for 45 minutes it didnt exceed 75`c albeit rad fans were nearly maxed out. dont get me wrong this cooler is GOOD. however... HOWEVER. its rog. you pay for the rog tax and the GOD AWFUL software like ai suite 3 or armory crate are so bad it ruins the hardware. example... if you have armory crate installed you cant install suite 3 as they will conflict. pretty normal to be fair. however armory crate is without doubt the most useless, buggy, glitchy, crap, software ive ever laid eyes on. because of this i cant recommend this product unless you choose to not install it, dont use the oled screen or rgb and run a fan curve through your bios.

Relly nice cooler i upgraded from a Asus ROG RYUO 120 to this because i was using a thermaltake core v1 and moved to the v21 for better cooling.Droped the temp of the cpu down. The only negative i have is the pump housing is a funny shape so when you put the amd braket on it can only go on 1 way,resulting on the screen and face plate to ke side ways when laying the motherboard flat in the v21 case. The Asus ROG RYUO 120 was round so did not mater what way it was instaled,mabey im ocd but would have been nice if you could instal the cooler any way round.

So if you purchase this, you need to make sure you update the firmware first (1.05) and then make sure you tune the fan (via Aus suite or bios) because the inbuilt fan on the pump to "cool' the VRMs is.....LOUD any heavy work, even if its for 5 seconds and then blooming fan kicks in and its loud, the rad fans are silent, even under load, but that VRM "cooler" is something else. NO, I'm not exaggerating, I'm being straight up, its loud, you'll hear that VRM cooler and try to pretend that its fine! For looks, its great. For use.......not so great
