The casing weighs a lot and the whole unit looks robust. Works well and is not too noisy. Immediately recognised by the PC (Windows 11). The software supplied is interesting. Seems fairly versatile. I found it particularly useful for burning Mdiscs. It remains to be seen how well it will hold up and how reliable it will be in the long term.

Very good burner from ASUS. Efficient and not very noisy. I highly recommend it to those who, like me, deplore the fact that most PC manufacturers no longer include internal drives/writers in their machines.

In addition to hard drives and flash memory, I like to have backups of my data on optical disks. So, after hesitating for a long time when my first burner started to get tired, I just got this one. On the one hand, it is very reliable, being able to read discs that I burned in 1998 and also more recent DVDs and Blu-Rays. On the other hand, it has just finished burning a 100GB BD without any problem. It takes time but not much space. I recommend it.

I use it for dvd ram. This was a replacement for the old dvd ram.
