Black Diamond Spot 400 Headlamp (Maat - OS, Kleur - Dark olive)

I accidentally put an older version of the spot headlamp in the washing machine with a load of laundry and it came out working. Amazing.

Battery drain. Known issue. Instructions say to remove batteries between use.

I have generally trusted Black Diamond, but this was less powerful than expected, PLUS it only lasted for a year and a half. I barely used. I went to replace the batteries and though there was no sign of physical damage and the battery compartment looked fine, it won't turn on. I tried other new batteries, but nothing. Disappointing.

Frustratingly hard to open the battery hatch. Once installed, it throws out a helluva bright light with several options. Fit my head right out of the box. Very good buy at 25% off.

Love this headlamp. It is bright and comfortable to wear. Pretty color and has the red beam option too. Haven’t tested it in the water so can’t attest to the water resistant capabilities.
