Battery came in packaging marked “open, new”. On removing from packaging there were obvious signs of use, battery scratched and contact terminals showed signs of use.

I wanted a second battery having upgraded my DSLR to a new Mirrorless camera that only comes with one. This one is a genuine Canon battery and that is reflected in the price. Yes you can buy cheaper; a lot cheaper but do you really want to trust a knockoff battery in a camera that has cost you several thousand pounds?
